Cale :( the Troubadour, one of the greatest white bluesmen, o inspiratie absoluta pentru Mark Knopfler... autorul original al pieselor After Midnight si COCAINE, facute celebre de Eric Clapton. Captain Beefheart a avut un cover dupa piesa sa Same Old Blues pe discul Bluejeans & Moonbeams (1974). Ultima aparitie J.J.Cale e pe piesa ANGEL a lui Eric Clapton de pe cel mai recent album al sau, Old Sock de acum doua luni. Alaturi de Clapton, Cale a scos, in 2008, albumul The Road to Escondido (premiul Grammy - Best Contemporary Blues Album)
Cale avea 74 de ani...


JJ Cale passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday July 26
at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA.
The legendary singer / songwriter had suffered a heart attack.
There are no immediate plans for services.
